Spring Valley Rotary

 

Attending weekly club meetings allows you to enjoy the fellowship of your club members, enrich your professional and personal knowledge, and meet other business leaders in their community. If you miss our club’s meeting, you can expand your Rotary horizons by attending make-up meetings at any Rotary club in the world — a practice that guarantees Rotarians a warm welcome in communities around the globe.

Find meeting places and times for the other clubs in the Columbia area by viewing our calendar.  You can also make up a missed meeting by participating in a club service project, attending a club board meeting or by making up online at one of several Rotary e-clubs.

Our club’s requirements:

• 60% annual attendance must be at home club.
• We use the honor system. Mark your own make-ups on the attendance sheet.
• Make-ups are valid only during the two weeks before or following the date missed.

A leave of absence is an option for a limited time but only relieves member of meal expenses.

 

Listed below are the financial responsibilities for members within the Spring Valley Rotary club:

There is a one time $50 induction fee.

Quarterly billing (approximately $200) includes:

• $25 Paul Harris sustaining membership
• $42 club dues
• $11 per meal - average of 12 meals per quarter  

If you record a make-up, you are credited the $11 meal fee. Be prepared to pay from $10 to $11 at other clubs for make-up meetings/meals. If you bring a guest, you are responsible for paying for their lunch.

 

Members are responsible for selling $400 in pecans each year for club fundraising. (Go to the projects tab for more information about our community service projects and our annual pecan fundraiser.)
