Spring Valley Rotary Club Awards $6,000 to Sistercare
Contribution to support the Children’s Shelter Project
President Elect Dennis Rabon and Former Community Service Director Bill Campbell presented representatives from Sistercare with a $6,000 contribution at our October 14 meeting. Sistercare provides services for battered women and their children residing in Fairfield, Kershaw, Lexington, Newberry and Richland counties.
“They had an immediate need for equipment and furniture for their Children’s Shelter Project. We contributed the initial $3,000 and our Rotary District matched it with a $3,000 grant,” said Diane Howard, Spring Valley Rotary club president. “Our club has supported Sistercare for twenty years and it’s a community partnership that we’re proud of,” added Howard.
