Six area Richland District Two high school seniors were awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Rotary Club of Spring Valley. The scholarships were presented at the club’s meeting on May 12 to the following students: Iesha Heyward from Ridgeview High School who will be going to Clemson, Lindsay LeGrand of Ridgeview, also going to Clemson, Benjamin Smick from Ridgeview who is going to the USC Honors College, Andrew Thomas from Spring Valley High School (SVHS) who is going to NC State University, Shaenna Lambert from SVHS who is going to the College of Charleston and Sarah Meadows from SVHS who will attend Francis Marion University.
