ROTARY CLUB OF SPRING VALLEY AWARDS COMMUNITY GRANTS

$26,000 provided to local non-profit organizations in 2010

The Rotary Club of Spring Valley will award grants totaling $26,000 to thirty-three local non-profit organizations in 2010.  The first of these awards were made at Rotary meetings held January 28 and February 25.  The remaining grants will be awarded on March 25 and April 29. The awards were made possible through the success of the club’s annual pecan sale with 100% of the proceeds from the annual fundraiser being returned to the community. “Our members were thrilled with the success of our fundraising efforts this year in light of our current economy and are proud to support so many worthy organizations,” said club president Babbie Jaco.
