Nut Campaign chairman Stan Luallin presented the 2009 awards during the February 18, 2010 Rotary meeting.
The Stan Walker award is given to the top sales person or to an individual who makes a significant contribution to our fundraiser. The award was named after Stan Walker who was always the top sales person and the one who started the Pecan Sale fundraiser for our club. Mike Montgomery (pictured below)was awarded the 2009 Stan Walker award.
The Dave Rauscher Award is named after Dave Rauscher, a deceased member of our club who ran the fundraiser for a couple of years and was the Gift of Life chairman. It is awarded to the top “rookie” or first year Rotarian. Stan Freeman (pictured below) was awarded the 2009 Dave Rauscher award.
Special recognition was also given to former SV Rotarian Jeff Leischner of Thomas & Howard, now a member of the Columbia club, for contributing the trailer, picking up our initial order and for selling over $3,700 in pecans for the club! Thanks Jeff.
